Kinesiotape – Dynamic tape for active regeneration
Kinesiotape is an elastic tape used to support natural movement patterns and activate muscular processes. Thanks to its special structure, the tape adapts flexibly to the skin and underlying tissue without restricting mobility. It works by stimulating the skin, fascia, and muscle tension – with the goal of balancing muscular imbalances, relieving pain, and promoting circulation.
The material used for kinesiology tape is typically made of cotton fabric with a stretchable portion that is elastic lengthwise but stable crosswise. The adhesive layer is breathable and skin-friendly. It adheres to the skin through body heat and remains reliably on the skin even with sweat or slight contact with water. Kinesiology tape can be worn for several days and is used both for acute muscular complaints and for preventative purposes. Whether for taping the neck for tension or the knee for knee pain, kinesiology tape has a wide range of uses. Among the most common applications are tennis elbow and golfer's elbow.
The color pink is often associated with energy, activation, and a positive effect. In practice, it—like other colors—also serves to visually differentiate or enhance individual selection. However, the correct application technique is crucial for its effectiveness. Kinesiology tape can be cut into I-, Y-, or X-shaped patterns and applied precisely to the respective body region.
Kinesiotape can improve body awareness, increase range of motion, and support self-healing through gentle stimulation. It is an established component of modern training and rehabilitation concepts and is used successfully in a wide variety of applications.
